Job description:  

The traffic manager is responsible for scheduling all ads and promotional  announcements on the radio stations, website and social media accounts of the  company. They will provide excellent customer service and assist sales reps and clients  with any inquiries they may have. The traffic manager will do monthly billing, reconcile  customer accounts and provide co-op, sales and traffic reports to clients, sales reps and  managers. They will provide sales and on air talent with missing copy reports, and  schedules for syndicated shows. Additionally, the traffic manager is responsible for  maintaining station files, online and in office, and ordering office supplies as needed.

Job responsibilities:  

 Prepare daily program logs (schedules) for one or more radio stations.   Schedule radio commercials and process commercial contracts daily.   Supply sales associates, on air talent and managers accurate and up-to-date  inventory information.  

 Provide quality customer service across all departments and to clients   Work closely with station programmers to ensure hourly clocks are accurate and  up-to-date on program logs.  

 Reconcile daily program logs for stations.  

 Process and schedule commercial copy as needed.  

 Post deposits, reconcile advertisers accounts and do monthly billing   Prepare reports for station management as needed.  

 Handle credit card transactions for clients  

 Process leave requests and maintain vacation calendar  

 Assist in designing, implementing and running station promotions and contests.   Order office supplies  


 High school diploma or GED  

 3-5 years of work experience using computers and programs such as Excel,  Word, Adobe and others.  

 Comfortable with new computer programs and learning new programs   Good writing and editing skills  

 Web and social media skills preferred  

 Must be willing and able to communicate and cooperate with sales, on air and  management team members in order to meet company objectives  

 Highly organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines  

 Must possess strong analytical problem-solving skills  

 Must be a self-starter, able to work remotely with minimum supervision, if needed 

Preference may be given to candidates who meet the above requirement and  have the following:  

 Experience working with Wide Orbit, Marketron and/or vCreative traffic software.  


Reports to:  

The traffic manager will work closely with and report to the GM to make sure that the  traffic department functions to meet company objectives. Will report to CFO for billing  and AR responsibilities.
