Strong Riverstone Gets the Go-Ahead
Missoula's city council approved an 18-unit subdivision on River Road despite concerns about overburdening local infrastructure.
The rezone and subdivision request passed 11-1, with Councilor Kristen Jordan dissenting. The Strong Riverstone development will feature 18 two-unit townhouses on a narrow lot, connecting to an interior road and creating a loop from River Road.
Concerns included increased traffic, lack of nearby bus stops, and potential flooding risks. Councilors approved the project, citing its alignment with growth policies and the potential for starter homes, but acknowledged the need for infrastructure improvements on River Road
