Plans for Eastside Highway

CORVALLIS, Mont. - The Montana Department of Transportation is asking for public comment on a proposal to resurface about 7 miles of Eastside Highway, north of Corvallis.

The project begins about 1 mile south of Woodside Cutoff Road, and extends north, ending about 1 mile south of the intersection with Victor Crossing. Proposed work includes resurfacing the southern 4 miles of the project area, followed by a chip seal, fog seal, minor sidewalk work to meet ADA compliance, and upgraded signage, delineation, pavement markings, guardrail, and centerline rumble strips. The purpose of the project is to prolong, preserve, and improve the ride of the existing pavement and enhance safety features. The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2024.

An important part of properly planning for future projects is partnering with the community. The Montana Department of Transportation welcomes the public to provide ideas and comments on the proposed project. Comments may be submitted online at http://www.mdt.mt.gov/contact/comment-form.aspx or in writing to Montana Department of Transportation, Missoula office, PO Box 7039, Missoula, MT 59807-7039. Please note that comments are for project UPN 10236000.

The public is encouraged to contact acting Missoula District Pre-construction Engineer Joel Boucher at 406-544-5802 or Project Design Engineer Joshua Dold at 406-444-6385 with questions or comments about the project.
