New MSO terminal to open in May!

Spring break means spring travel and with so many western Montanans flying out of state, let’s take a look at something every traveler faces: The sometimes miles-long trek from check-in to the gate. The airports where you can get ALL your steps in for the day is Dallas-Fort Worth, where the distance from check-in to furthest gate is almost 2 and 1/4 miles. Washington DC's airport is over 1.6 miles and Denver is just under a mile and half. The good news is -- Missoula's new terminal, according to deputy Airport director, Tim Damrow, will be one of the shortest at .11 of a mile -- that's about a block - from ticket counter to furthest gate. Missoula's expanded terminal is expected to open in May.
