Montana State Senator Decides to Step Down
Montana state Sen. Nate McConnell has announced his resignation following six years in the Legislature. The Missoulian reported the Missoula Democrat who serves Senate District 48 says his two children are in public school and his desire to focus on them during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic influenced his decision to step down. McConnell says he was most proud of his legislative work on insurance coverage for firefighters and bipartisan criminal justice policies. McConnell did not provide specific plans but says he looks forward to continuing public service in other ways in the future.
