M Trail Scheduled to Close for Maintenance

The University of Montana will temporarily close the iconic M Trail on Mount Sentinel from Friday, May 3rd through Friday, May 10th for improvements to enhance safety and sustainability.

While the switchbacks are closed, alternate routes via the north-facing ridge or Evans Street

will remain accessible.

With over 1,000 daily hikers, the M Trail undergoes routine maintenance to accommodate its high usage.
