A New Look for Higgins?

Higgins Avenue - the street that defines the city's downtown, could be in for an overhaul, depending on public input to a planning process that has developed 4 different visions for dealing with traffic, parking and pedestrians. The alternatives were presented online at Engage-Missoula-dot-com starting Monday...and include different concepts like removing lanes, adding turn lanes, adding bike lanes and adding bus-only lanes. One option envisions changing nothing. Planners hope to have a consensus by early June and plan to present final plans to City Council by July.
